Am Back !!!

Well, well, well, I am back after such a long absence. I was actually preparing for a professional exam which i wrote of friday, thats why i have been off my blog spot for a while.

So how is everyone out there? Guess fine, just as i am here.

I have been reprimanded for dissing guys on my blog spot! can you believe that? I really cant remember ever doing that, all i remember is having a heart to heart chat with both ladies and guys, but if my words have been offensive to you guys, I am sorry.


So how have you all been? Am so glad am back to work because i was beginning to get bored of sitting at home and studying. I guess thats one of the challenges of getting added qualification. But anyhow, i sure do need the qualification.

This week wraps up the month of February, so you might want to take stock of your achievements this month and make plans for March.

The Day After....

I am so sorry i didnt post anything yesterday. I was a bit tired so i got to work rather late and had a lot of running around to do. So how was Valentine's Day yesterday? Hope you had fun ! I wish i could have but i was too weak to do so. Anyhow, i'll surely hang out this weekend and give myself a treat.

So how did the day go yesterday? I really would love to hear from you guys. Lets make it a two way communication, tell me how you celebrated Val's day yesterday.

As for me, i really didnt do much, i tried to do what i had been preaching all these while : i lent a helping hand to those who needed it. I had to run an errand for my sis, even though it was inconveniencing, i tried to help out, and guess what ? i felt so fulfilled afterwards.

So, its the day after Val's day, but let not the expression of love go off just as the day has , lets make it a daily affair.

Love sure does make the world go round.

What is Love?

Whew! Am sure some people would be wondering what sort of question this is. Well as ridiculous as it sounds, it is very important. Contrary to what most people believe, Love is not a feeling but an action. It goes beyond what you feel to what you do for the person you have that strong feeling for.

Valentine's day is all about love, but what kind of love do we celebrate on Val's day? Is it really love or lust? Lets not shy away from the fact that a lot umimaginable things happen on that day ranging from attending all night parties to having sex outside of marriage.

Ladies, lets talk one on one here. Why would you give your body that was bought at a price to a man who has no regard for you or even that body you are offering to him? Why would you exchange your most precious gift for a cake, a rose or even a teddy bear. Is that really love? If he really did love you as he claims, would he really want you to do it considering the many risks involved : AIDS, STDs, Unwanted Pregnancy, Abortion ( in case of a pregnancy) ?Wouldnt you rather wait and give yourself to that one man who would choose to do the right thing : Wait till your wedding day ?

Guys, you are not left out in this ! If that young lady was your younger sister, would you advise her to sleep with a guy just because he gave her a box of chocolates or even a car as her Val Gift? Isnt she worth much more than that? If you truly love her, why dont you prove it to her in some other ways like reassuring her of your commitment to her, visiting a place of her interest, etc instead of sleeping with her. There is much more to a relationship than that you know.

Lets learn to do it right ! Because its Val's day does not mean that we should throw caution to the wind and go wild ! Lets really show some love this Val's day by reaching out to those in need, i mean those who have been deprived of true, unconditional love. You might want to ask where to find them, but believe me that person next to you is the best person to start with.

Go show some love !

Countdown to Val's Day !

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend like i did. Yeah, I rested well, and not only that, i went visiting on saturday and worshipped in church on sunday.

So, we begin our countdown to val's day today. What Plans do you have lined up for that day? uhmm...i really am eager to hear your juicy plans...

Well, i cant say i have got anything special planned out except that i will be at work on that day, and probably give myself a treat on saturday (hoping that something else doesnt come up).

In the meantime, have an eventful week ahead.

Yeah, Thank God its Friday!

I must say am more relieved than glad that today is friday. My colleagues at work always tease me whenever its friday because am always happy on the last working day of the week.

Frday brings a lot of reflection : You look back to your week and think about all that you and done and all that you should have done. The thought of what i should have done sobers me up, but am usually reassured of one fact, and that is : i have another week to be who i ought to be.

Having worked for 5 days ( for those who actually work for 5 days), i think everyone should be grateful for the end of yet another week, and the fact that we have 2 days of rest before another week begins.

And that brings me to the question : How do you spend your weekends? When i just started working, i used to look forward to my weekends with all joy because my weekends were usually for sleeping (one of the joys of being single if you ask me), but i told myself at the beginning of the year that i would spice up my life ! So instead of sleeping all day during the weekend, i go out visiting, hanging out with friends, attending social functions, seminars, workshops etc. Life is short you know, so i'd rather make the best of it.

Next week thursday is Valentine's Day, so we will begin the countdown on monday. Am eagerly looking forward to hearing all your juicy plans for that day, but meanwhile have a swell weekend !

PREPARATION !!!

Hi Everyone!

Yeah, I promised to be back today strong and vibrant, and here I am. Am so grateful to God for the grace to be back, and also for the strength given to me. I was in church yesterday, and was i blessed ! You can only imagine.

Pastor Sam preached on the Topic,'Preparing for Ministry'. Your Ministry may not necessarily be on the pulpit like most people think. Your ministry is what you find fulfilment in doing, and everything you have had to go through in life came about as a means for preparing you for what lies ahead.

Are you currently on a job you are not finding fulfilling? enjoy where you are on your way to where you are going because every little bit of experience you are acquiring now whether significant or otherwise, is only preparing you for what lies ahead.

Have you suffered from heart break, and you dont think you want to give Love a second try, just hold on. God was only preparing you for what lies ahead. Remember that your present affliction cannot be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed.

Have you suffered a financial setback? God was trying to teach you a lesson, and also prepare you for what lies ahead.

God has a plan and purpose for our lives, and the only way we can achieve such plans and purposes is if we surrender to his will. Remember your ministry is that one thing you do with so much ease, that one thing you have a passion for, that one thing you derive so much joy in doing.

Have you discovered it ?

My mind is blank !

Hey Guys !

Am sure you wont believe me if i say this, but my mind is completely blank. I dont even know what to write about. Well, am sure a lot of us av been there before, you know when your mind is completely blank that you cant think of anything to write down.

Well, thank God it didnt happen when i had an examination to write, cos if it did i really dont know what might happen.

Anyway, i guess its just one of those days when you wished you didnt have to get up from your bed so early cos thats exactly how i feel right now.Guess, i had better stop here before i infect you all with my 'blank mindedness'

Not to worry, i'll be back strong and vibrant tomorrow.

The vision is for an appointed time...

Am sure some people are wondering when I became a Pastor, well atimes you just have to preach to yourself when things dont seem to be turning out the way you would have wanted them to.

I was a bit down yesterday after i got home from work because i was overwhelmed by the way things were happening around me, to every other person except me. I was online with a friend in the UK yesterday when he encouraged me with a verse of the scriptures in Hab 2:3....the vision is for an appointed time... all i could do was just encourage myself in the Lord just like David did.

You know, for the mere fact that things are not working the way we want them to doesnt mean things are not working at all ! God sure does has a purpose for everyone of us, but the only way we can key into that purpose is by letting go, and letting God.

He knows and understands all things, infact he has the blueprint for our lives such that anything done outside of His blue print for our lives inevitably leads to frustration.So I have come to one conclusion, I AM GONNA LET GO, AND LET GOD. I can almost hear someone saying 'its easier said than done' Oh yes, you are right. But wouldnt you rather deny youself pleasures and get God's best for you?

I have made up my mind to stick with God no matter how long it takes for Him to get through to me, and I know that it aint gonna be easy, but I know that His grace is sufficent for me.

Hello Everyone.

It sure is the month of Love, cos thats what my Pastor preached about yesterday. To those of you wondering who my Pastor is, He is none other than Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christian Centre. I really am glad that he is my Pastor.

I really wonder if we truly know what love is in Nigeria. Its really disheartening cos everyone seems to be after his/her own good. I mean, what other reason can we give when office holders decide to embezzle funds meant for the development of a community? Its sheer cruelty ! Lets come closer home...when we treat househelps as if they are not human beings, when we break traffic laws, when we see those who are less priviledged,and refuse to help them, when we find it rather hard to lend a helping hand to those in need simply because they dont belong to our 'class'...the list is endless, then we are not acting in love.

If we say we love God, and dont love our neighbour, then we dont love God. Every man is an extension of God, and the only way we can prove we love God is when we show love to our fellow man.

As we countdown to Valentine's day and beyond, lets see God in every man and prove to God that we love him by our acts of love to our fellow men.

Its February ...The month of Love

February is here again, and I guess we are all so glad to usher it in. January has come and gone with all of its promises and otherwise, but we sure do believe God for an eventful February.

This is the month of Love : Feb 14th is St Valentine's Day. What are your plans for this month? Partying, hanging out with friends, setting and achieving great milestones, giving out gifts to Loved ones, etc. Whatever it is you do this month, let it be done out of love because love makes the world go round.

Lets examine a few tips for Valentine's day:

• Locate one person/group of people whom you feel are less likely to be loved, and send them gifts.
• Do something memorable for a loved one.
• Hang out with friends, you dont necessarily have to spend the day with a boyfriend/girlfriend.
• If you are spending the day with a boyfriend/girlfriend, reassure yourselves of your love for each other (not through sex).
• For married couples, Spend a romantic evening together : Dinner for two at an exotic restaurant will be wonderful.
• Say a word of prayer for those who are yet to find true love.

The list is by no means exhaustive. Be creative and do things your partner/friend would really appreciate.

Its the month of love, say whatever you do this month, let it be done in love.
