January...gone again !!!

Hi Guys !

Sorry i didnt post anything yesterday, was quite busy. Well, here I am today !

What have you been up to lately if i may ask? I can hardly believe that January is gone already. Time and tide sure waits for no man. Lets do a quick reflection of all that happened in the month of January:

All the New Year Resolutions, the goals etc, i hope we have been able to accomplish a few of them. Not to worry, if January didnt look too good, am sure February will be a lot much better.

A reminder, dont forget to be a blessing to someone today, and also make that one of your goals for February and you will be surprised at how many lives you have actually touched by the end of February.

Hope to see you all in the new month !!!

The Essence of Life

October 29, 2007 I lost my immediate elder brother. It came as a rude shock to everyone cos he was very healthy and wasnt even ill prior to that time. Am yet to come to terms with the fact that Wale is truly gone, but the truth is that he is resting in the bossom of his Saviour.

After his death, the phones would just not stop ringing as accolades kept pouring in. All the people whose lives he had touched just wanted to be sure that he was truly gone, but alas ! it was the undeniable truth.

I can still see his face looking ever so peaceful as he lay in the coffin and we took a last look at him. Even in death, he seemed to have a smile on his face as he had always had it. There was never a dull moment with him, he always made everyone happy: his friends, colleagues, siblings, Parents and everyone he came in contact with. I really am proud of him, and i know that we will meet again on the last day at the foot of our saviour.

Life is not in the duration, but in the donation as my Pastor would always say. Wale lived a selfless life. Looking back now, i realise that he was not one to amass wealth and material possession, he took life one day at a time and was never bothered about irrelevancies.

I have really learnt a lot from his life and death. The whole essence of a man's life is to be a blessing to others and to have a relationship with his maker. Some were born to be around for a short while before departing , while some were born to be around for a very long time. But the most imporatnt thing is to make sure that no matter how long or how short we will be around, lets make sure we imapct lives and leave a footprint in the sands of time, and above all have a relationship with our maker, to whom we will give an account of our lives here on earth at the end of the day.

I'll leave you with this word today,'Make your life count. In everything you do, make sure someone is blessed and above all, make sure your creator is happy with you.'
